They are there when the going gets tough - the emergency response teams. One of their core tasks is to provide assistance in the event of major fires. To ensure that water gets to where it is urgently needed quickly and efficiently, GK Grünenfelder manufactures 23 central axle trailers with a permanently installed water pressure pump for the rescue forces of the Swiss Army.
The first production trailers, designed to modernize the Swiss Army's operational equipment, will be delivered in June. "The production of a new vehicle is always exciting", says Sascha Maier, Head of Defence and Special Projects at GK Grünenfelder. "Especially when, as in this case, the transport solution has to fulfill such an important mission – literally saving lives." No matter how rough the terrain or how adverse the circumstances – the pressure pump trailer must be ready for immediate use and mobile in an emergency. "Thanks to our many years of experience, we know how important reliable and safe operational equipment is for civilian and military forces", says Maier.

Whether it's a major fire or a flood, this trailer literally saves lives.
The central axle trailers designed by GK Grünenfelder meet the highest technical requirements: They are light, resistant and flexible in use. Thus, the water pressure pump permanently installed on the trailer is not only used for fire fighting, but also serves as a means of transport or for pumping out water in case of floods. The pressure pump from Tony Brändle AG can transport 10,000 liters per minute. Thus, the new central axle trailers not only meet the highest technical requirements in terms of mobility and performance, but also help to cope with future disasters.

Thanks to our many years of experience, we know how important reliable and safe equipment is for civilian and military forces.
